365 Orlando: 47. Bok Tower Gardens
April 30th, 2010 by tisnerGet away from the hustle and bustle in Orlando and head over to the Bok Tower Gardens. The gardens were created in the late 1920s by author Edward Bok. You will enjoy exploring the 130 acres of plant life and trees, including azaleas, magnolias, camellias and ferns. If it’s wildlife and wetland plants you want to see check out “Window By The Pond”. It is situated on the edge of the pond where you can observe birds, butterflies, reptiles and other native animals in their natural habitat.
The Gardens are also home to a marble and coquina tower that is home to 57-bell carillon. There are carillon recitals daily at 1pm and 3pm.
Take some time and see the Bok Tower Gardens while in Orlando.
