Mayor Buddy Dyer, Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs and Florida Citrus Sports a throwing a party of sorts to kick off the demolition of the lower bowl of the stadium! At this celebration they will be showing off the all-new features of the New and Improved Florida Citrus Bowl!
The original stadium was built in 1936 as a public works project under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The stadium has been renovated over the years but the time has come for a major demolition and reconstruction. Some of the new features will include; a newly constructed lower bowl, 360-degree main concourse, multiple LED video displays, new lower bowl seating, and much more. Head down to the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando on January 29th at 10:00 am for ceremony held down on the field of the stadium. Don’t forget to dress as if you are headed to a construction site.
