Orlando Florida | Real Estate

June 26th, 2007 by tisner

There are some general rules that if you follow when making a decision to buy or sell Real Estate in the Orlando Florida that you use to ensure that you make a sound decision.

Times might be uncertain, but that doesn’t mean it is a bad thing….

Orlando FL | Real Estate SuccessThere are some general rules that if you follow when making a decision to buy or sell Real Estate in the Orlando Florida that you use to ensure that you make a sound decision.

What do we mean by this?  Well let’s look at a few statements:
"I am not going to take a $x,000 loss on my Orlando Florida home!"
"I am not giving my Orlando Florida home away!"
"I don’t want to buy until the absolute bottom of the market"

These are things to think about when you are trying to decide if now is a good time to purchase an Orlando Florida home or sell your Orlando Florida home:

We understand that you want your home to net the highest amount but sometimes you need to look at what is really going on in the market.  That amount in your head is just that.  Look at what has sold recently and what is on the market.  Make sure that you are the best property in the bottom 25% of those listed.

Seller’s tend to be 6 months behind what is going on in the market.  So make sure that you always look at where the Orlando Florida market is headed, not where it has been.

Been on the market for 3 months with no activity?  Our best advice ~ Cut your asking price and get your Orlando Florida home SOLD!

It doesn’t matter if you are buying or selling Real Estate in the Orlando Florida area, make sure that you plan for the worst case scenario.  Can you afford it? Are you stretching beyond your means?

Buyers afraid of purchasing before the market "hits bottom"?  Well think about the possibility that you could end up having to purchase less of a house because interest rates go up when you perceive that the market has hit the bottom.

Ready to sell your Orlando Florida home?  Call the Orlando Avenue Top Team today at (407) 467-5155.

Orlando Florida | Attention Sellers ~ Are you doing everything you can?

Well it can’t hurt to do one more thing….
St. Joseph | Orlando Florida Home Sales
Be it fact or be it fiction, burying a St. Joseph statue in the yard may help quicken the sale of your Orlando Florida home.
There are a couple of possible origin of burying a St Joseph statue:
  • The solemn tradition of burying St. Joseph in the earth began hundreds of years ago in Europe. During those times, an order of nuns prayed to St. Joseph (the patron saint of the family and household needs) when they needed more lands for convents. The Sisters were encouraged to bury their St. Joseph medals in the ground. The medals evolved into statues.
  • Another possible origin is with German carpenters who put St. Joseph statues in the foundations of homes.
  • While it may seem a bit improper to bury St. Joseph upside-down on your property, this is actually recommended.
  • You can apparently bury either a medal or a statue in the front or back yard
  • right side up or upside down
  • Some say the saint should face the house
  • Some say he should be close to the "For Sale" sign

Wherever you place the patron saint, it appears that miracles do happen. The Orlando Avenue Top Team doesn’t guarantee by buying a St. Joseph statue in your Orlando Florida home yard that you will sell faster, we just want to make sure that you know about this tradition.  The one thing we do know that guarantees a quick sale of your home is that it is priced right, is appealing compared to other similar properties currently on the market.  Call us today at (407) 467-5155 for more information.
