Get away from the hustle and bustle in Orlando and head over to the Bok Tower Gardens. The gardens were created in the late 1920s by author Edward Bok. You will enjoy exploring the 130 acres of plant life and trees, including azaleas, magnolias, camellias and ferns. If it’s wildlife and wetland plants you want to see check out “Window By The Pond”. It is situated on the edge of the pond where you can observe birds, butterflies, reptiles and other native animals in their natural habitat.
The Gardens are also home to a marble and coquina tower that is home to 57-bell carillon. There are carillon recitals daily at 1pm and 3pm.

The Mad Cow Theatre in downtown Orlando plays host to the eighth annual Orlando Cabaret Festival, April 30 – May 16, 2010. This festival will feature many central Florida artist along with artists from the New York Cabaret scene performing over 40 acts including jazz, pop, Broadway, and comedy. There will be three world-class headliners this year that define both classic and contemporary cabaret. They are Karen Akers, KT Sullivan and The Broadway Boys. You will be able to enjoy these performances in the intimate setting at The Mad Cow.
You can also take your lunch break to downtown Orlando and catch a show with the weekday lunchtime performances. These performances last 45 minutes and you are encouraged to bring your lunch or order a box lunch from the theater. The theater welcomes groups to have a unique lunch experience in downtown Orlando.

Ever wanted to see the costumes that your favorite actors and actresses wore in those movies we love? They are here in Orlando at the Orange County Regional History Center.
This exhibit features more than 40 costumes, props, and models that span 60 years of film and television. From movies like “Star Wars,” “Blade Runner,” Indiana Jones,” Ghostbusters II,” “Batman,” and many more. The Out of this World exhibit examines how costume design incorporates color, style, scale, materials, historical traditions and cultural cues to help performers and audiences engage in the way the characters are being portrayed. Some of the exciting costumes you will see include the jacket worn by Harrison Ford as Indian Jones, the leather jacket worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the film “The Terminator”, and Darth Vader’s cape, Jedi robe and light saber from the “Star Wars” trilogy and much more.
