Love is in the air in Orlando; why not take your special someone out to see the Orlando Philharmonic along with Michael Andrew and his band Swingerhead.  Michael Andrew has been the headline singer for the past two years of the famous Rainbow Room atop Rockefeller Center in NYC!  He has a long history in the Orlando area with his band the Swingerhead, they have played at the Walt Disney World’s Atlantic Dance and Rat Pack’s on Avenue in Downtown Orlando.

There will be two shows of My Funny Valentine performed at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre on February 9th at 2pm and 8pm.  Grab your funny Valentine and spend some time listing to romantic tunes from the Great American Songbook.  Help Orlando welcome back Michael Andrew and the Swingerhead for this fun show with the Orlando Philharmonic.

Help homeless animals in Orlando at the Paws in the Park fundraiser hosted by the SPCA of Central Florida!  Head out to Lake Eola Park on February 9th from 9am to noon.  This year’s theme is Mardi Paws!  Stroll around the park enjoying the entertainment and the kids will have a blast at the Disney Kids Zone!

This fundraiser will help the homeless pets in Orlando find forever homes!  Come out and enjoy the day with furry friends around Lake Eola Park in Orlando!

Spend an evening enjoying the beautiful music from the Orlando Philharmonic as they present Tchaikovsky to their Orlando audience.  Enjoy the emotional drama of the Fifth Symphony of Tchaikovsky. Also enjoy Barber’s Violin Concerto, performed by Sarah Chang.  Sarah is an amazing violinist who is a member of a small group of professionals who were recognized as child prodigies.  This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy her music in Orlando at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center on January 26 at 8pm and January 27th at 3pm.

While things have slowed down this winter take some time to enjoy the wonderful sounds of the Orlando Philharmonic and Sarah Chang.

Some of the best chili cooks in the Orlando area are getting together for the Sunshine Regional Chili Cookoff on January 19th from 11am-5pm.  Chat with some of the 40 competitors as the cook up some of the best chili around and compete for a spot in the World Finals!  After the cooking is complete let the sampling begin!!  Bring the kids over to the KUA Kids Power Zone, where they can jump in the bounce house and participate in Cookie Making.

Stroll through the arts and crafts area and listen to music from K92 FM.  There will also be live performances as well.  While your stomping your feet to the music stop by the Beer Garden near the Main Stage.  Spend the day enjoying wonderful chili and fun activities for everyone in Orlando at the Sunshile Regional Chili Cookoff!!

Jump for fun in Orlando at Boing Jump Center.  The center offers open jump times where you can come out and jump on the nearly 13,000 sqft of trampoline surfaces.  There are 3 different areas where you can enjoying a friendly game of dodgeball, just jump in the open jump are or try out the Trampoline Half pipe with foam pit for dismounting.  Jumping is a great physical exercise that is fun for the whole family.  For the little ones there is even special times where children and parents can jump together called bittyBOING!

There is even an Arcade, challenge your buddy to a friendly game of air hockey!  Visit this fun center in Orlando where you can enjoy the physical benefits of jumping.

Great one stop Holiday celebration in Orlando at the Light Up UCF!  This event has a little something for everyone in your family.  Spend a little time ice skating on real ice as the DJ plays classic holiday songs and the latest Top 40 hits.  There are lots of public skating times or if you don’t want to skate you can take a plunge down the 100 ft ice luge on sled discs!  After you have spent your day skating and sliding walk through the dazzling lights display that has been perfectly synchronized to holiday music!  This light show was designed by Carson Williams.

Jump on board the Ferris Wheel and get a bird’s eye view of the surrounding Orlando area and the lights show below!  The Santa training will be taking passengers of all ages for a little ride around the festivities.  New this year is the Tornado!

Under the stars enjoy the holiday film festival, where holiday movies will be shown on a giant two-story outdoor screen!  On Friday December 14th at 7pm & 9:30pm they will be showing Arthur Christmas.  On Saturday night enjoy Mickey’s Magical Christmas at 7pm & 9:30pm.

Santa will be at the Barnes & Noble, so stop on by for a photo and to tell him what you wish for this Christmas!  This is a fun event for everyone in the family to enjoy this weekend until January 6th in Orlando.

The holiday season is in full swing here in Orlando and that means lots of lights and parades.  What better way to spend an evening them with both of those things at the City of Kissimmee Festival of Lights Parade!  The fun starts at the Kissimmee Police Department building with visit with Santa at 5pm -6:30pm.  There will be singing by The Mistletones, Santa’s Sisters, The Carolers and The Caroling Kids.  The parade kicks off at 7pm and ends with the Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Spend a little time in historic downtown Kissimmee this holiday season enjoying the festivities!  The Orlando area is getting all decked out for the holidays.
