Come 2 Anguilla and adopt a Cat or Dog
June 2nd, 2006 by tisnerThe island of Anguilla in the British West Indies has incredible wildlife and of course our favorite Cats and Dogs!!
One way to grab my attention is to show me pictures of kittens and puppies! Rarely have I met a little creature I didn’t love at first sight. So you can imagine my enthusiasm when I realized that there is an animal rescue league on Anguilla. It is called AARF and that stands for Anguilla Animal Rescue Foundation. The purpose of the foundation, which has been in existence only since 2000, is to promote, develop and assist in the humane treatment and care of animals in Anguilla.
In 2005, 150 cats and dogs were adopted out. Animals are taken into Morlens Veterinary Hospital where they stay for 10 days awaiting and hoping for a family. For $20 in US currency, a dog or cat gets spayed or neutered, tested for diseases, dewormed, given and flea and tick bath and receives its first vaccinations. This program has a wonderful website http://www.aarf.ai/
There on loads of pictures posted on the web of cats and dogs adopted through this foundation and each is cuter than the next! The Anguilla Top Team (Teri Isner, Eileen Wilson and Tammy Martinez) can help you with all your real estate needs and we have a great website, too. It is http://www.come2anguilla.com We feature one of the magnificent villas for sale on the Island which we are fortunate to represent La Dolce Vita. Another beautiful vill that has just come to our attention is called Exclusivity. Our website features that villa too. Don’t miss all the wonderful pictures of both on the website. If you know anyone who wants to own a piece of paradise we are just a phone call away.
Now I am having a fantasy! I and the Anguilla Top Team stay on Anguilla, rescue some adorable dogs, and live near the white powdery sand and the calm turquoise water happily and forever!

across the street from the convention center is one of the famed Peabody Hotels. Recently it has acquired a new a front entrance and a new atrium and will undergo future expansion.
My country, tis of thee,
As one whose idea of a fun ride is the carousel, perhaps I am not the one to tell you that the new Animal Kingdom ride, Expedition Everest, is set to open this Friday…but I will. The new ride is described as a ‘family thrill ride’ and combines some tricks and turns from favorite coasters Space Mountain and Big Thunder Railroad while adding the special Disney Imagineering magic of its own.
all the while escaping a mythical creature guarding the mountains. Everest, tall and stately and snow-covered, looms large in the Animal Kingdom and there’s a new mountain village of Serka Zong, looking appropriately aged and weather distressed.
Welcome to spring! We’re a few days behind on the date – spring began March 20th – but a few days ahead of daylight savings time! We get an extra hour of daylight starting April 2nd. We spring ahead. Remember to turn clocks forward the night before. We’ll have more time to enjoy our beautiful Orlando Florida spring weather!
but friends tell me it is a wonderful experience for people who love film, filled with film makers, students and people like you and me who love movies. The festival runs through April 2nd and more information can be found at FloridaFilmFestival dot com. Next year I think I’ll go!
Which reminds me – if you want to know what’s happening at clubs or at restaurants or with music, a good website to use to check it out is OrlandoCityBeat dot com. They are always up to date and feature lots of pictures and downloads. Enjoy the start of spring!
