Sharing some of the many ideas from Keller Williams Family Reunion
Sharing some of the many ideas from Keller Williams Family Reunion
February 24, 2006
Hello everyone! This week finds me in Las Vegas at the Keller Williams convention. This is an annual event and I have attended the last three years. Some 12,000 brokers and associates from all over the country attend. It is like a big family reunion. This year was special as I was asked to teach at the technology center.
While the temperature in Orlando actually hit the 80s this week, the Las Vegas temperature is in the 60s. I hardly get outside though! There are educational meetings and break-out sessions all day long. Not to mention the real estate trade shows! I am busy from morning to night collecting real estate wisdom and knowledge to bring back to you, my trusted clients and friends. I did have time the night I arrived to see Mama Mia, what fun a story set to the songs of ABBA.
This week I am also teaching! Keller Williams has developed a unique tool for agents called Eagentc. (It is pronounced like ‘e-agent-see.’) Eagenc provides agents with technology research and solutions to help them gain and distribute knowledge. I myself have been using Eagenc for the last few years. Now I will be teaching others how to get the most from this cutting edge technical tool. I am excited! Our class covered an introduction to tablet
PCs. It was a wonderful session and well received.
Next week I’ll be back in Orlando and I’ll write more then! Have a great week!
More later,
Teri

What has been happening in the 2005 Orlando real estate market.
What has been happening in the 2005 Orlando real estate market.
I want to let you know that 2005 was a really terrific year for real estate investments around the Orlando area. Realtors sold 29,995 existing homes – that’s just under 30,000 houses – and, with that number, 2005 became the 13th consecutive year there was an increase in existing houses sold.
Here’s another number: there was 8.4 billion dollars in home sales in this area in 2005! And another number: there was a 15% increase in annual sales from two years ago to this.
From the wisdom and knowledge I’ve gathered in this business over the years, the Florida housing market seems extremely healthy. I’m thankful to tell you! And why not? Every week statistics show us that 1,275 people are moving into the Orlando area. This figure is projected to continue for the next ten years, so now is a great time to be part of the real estate market.
Interest rates look like they’ll stabilize at around 7%. Home prices are more stable, too. In 2004, there was a shortage of homes which produced a ‘buying frenzy’ and raised up prices of homes. Now, though, more houses are being built and there’s been an increase in existing homes for sale. This increase in inventory is serving to stabilize prices.
The Orlando area is really coming into its own and I’m glad that I’m a part of it!

Teri

Super Bowl Sunday
Football’s biggest event Super Bowl Sunday and other favorites.

Today is Super Bowl Sunday. In Minneapolis, where I’m originally from, it’s 23 degrees today. Here in Orlando, it’s in the 60s and the forecast is for temperatures in the 60s and 70s and yellow sunshine for the entire week. Ya gotta love it! During the spring I had the opportunity to watch the Tampa Bay Buccaners train at Disney’s Wide World of Sports. It was a fun thing to do and the football fields are easy to get to – right off I-4.
During spring training the Bucs are housed at The Celebration Hotel in nearby Celebration and after the early workout there is always a lineup of fans outside the hotel waiting for autographs. The Bucs are glad to oblige! Should you prefer blue uniforms to red, though, and basketball to football, the Orlando Magic are right up I-4 in the center of Orlando at the TD Waterhouse Center. This year they’re not doing so well, right now they’re 19-26, but, none-the-less the team is great fun to watch. Magic fans are very spirited and the food at the Center is always tasty!
Teri
PS Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers!
Next year would be great to see Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers after all I am from Minnesota originally and would love to sell a home to a Viking out here. Have sold a Green Bay Packer and had an x steelers home listed too this year!!

This is an introduction to our Orlando Avenue Top Team by Team Leader Teri Isner

Today is the beginning of my blog.
If you’re reading this today, you’re in on the ground floor! My intent is to bring you assorted bits of information about what’s going on in the Central Florida real estate business and economy as well as to let you know some things that are happening in my professional life.
You never know when some piece of information – trivia, even – may impact on a person’s thoughts and actions, personal and professional, so therefore I won’t put artificial limits on the kinds of detail I’ll bring to you.
First though a little bit about me, Teri Isner. If you’re on my website http://www.orlandoave.com, you can see that I show myself as a monopoly piece on a monopoly board. That’s because as a professional real estate specialist, I – and the rest of the Orlando Avenue Top Team – see myself as representing you on a map of Orlando’s best neighborhoods.
As a real estate specialist, I’ve had intensive education in my field and this is shown by the letters after my name. GRI, for instance, means I’m a Graduate of the Real Estate Institute and a CRS Certified Residential Specialist. The RECS designation means I’m a member of the Real Estate Cyber Society. My favorite designations include the CIPS or Certified International Property Specialist and being a CyberStar© – Founded by Allen F. Hainge.
http://afhseminars.com/ The most extraordinary group of highly professional and tech savvy Realtors I know. There are 1,200,000 real estate agents and only 200 in the world have earned the right to be called CyberStars. If you are a real estate agent reading this and you are lucky enough to be invited to join don’t hesitate join! I also belong to the CyberProfessionals a superb group of real estate agents who gather together twice a year to share marketing and business ideas.
All these designations means special study and that translates into the fact that I pass the wisdom and knowledge I’ve gained along to you. Some of the clients I – and the rest of the Orlando Avenue Top Team – work with are investors and I am additionally qualified to do real estate investing internationally as well as to help international investors place funds in real estate here.
I love my work! It is exciting and fulfilling and I’ve never known an uninteresting day!
More later! Teri
