It is time as you can see from the Windermere Florida town clock for two great holiday events.

There is also an Elder luncheon.
The Elder Luncheon will be held on Dec. 4th at 11:30 at the Windermere Florida Town Hall.

Now for those of us who live along the route it is an opportunity to show off your "lights of Windermere.
The town of Windermere Florida invites you to decorate the route for the 200 plus walkers expected.
Enjoy the evening walking either the 5 or the 10 kilometer routes, and participate in the fellowship at the Windermere Florida Town Hall.

Celebration Florida Booster Club Social
Celebration Florida Booster Club Social
The Celebration Florida Boosters are planning a holiday meeting and social to raise money for the Athletics Dept. at Celebration Elementary K-8 and for Celebration High School. You will need to make reservations for this event held downtown Celebration at
The Celebration Town Tavern on Tuesday Dec. 4th at 6pm.
Celebration Town Tavern is located at 721 Front Street.
I have to admit this reminded me of a Jay Leno headlines since connecting anything from a school to the town tavern seemed interesting. The Celebration Town Tavern does have a beer club, but as the saying goes Everyone is welcome. It did put a smile on my face but don’t worry I wont be sending the annoucement to the the Tonight Show.
Anyway hope all Celebration Florida Booster Club fans are able to turn out for this event that features a complimentary dinner with beer, a silent auction, door prizes and lots of fun. You need to reserve your space by contacting Susan Bona at susan.bona@celebration.fl.us.
The Celebration Town Tavern offers alot of family food and fun atmosphere. You can read about the history or the beer club, or check out the menu selection. Just another one of the many choices you have for fine dining in Celebration Florida.
Finally here is video clip (not one of mine) but posted from you tube of the Celebration High School Marching Band. Enjoy!

Celebration Florida Tribute to Simon Sharp
Celebration Florida Tribute to Simon Sharp this week. Since I wrote about the Girl Scouts in Celebration Florida I wanted to take time to write about a tribute to Simon Sharp.
A tribute to Simon Sharp Nov. 28 Weds. at 4pm at Founders Park on Celebration Ave.
Simon Sharp a past resident of Celebration Florida was a creator of Celebration Florida’s Veterans Memorial for his Eagle Scout Service Project.
He was the senior patrol leader for troop 125 and two years ago started to raise $15,000 to build a veterans memorial at Founders Park in Celebration Florida.
On the 4th of July he sold commemorative American Flag Pins and raised $7000. The next month he was diagnosed with an aggressive Leukemia.
His scout troop carried on and raised $12,000 but the cost soared to $40,000. Simon hoped for donations and really wanted to die an Eagle Scout.
His scout Master Joel Koustach knew time was running out and went to Simon who slid off his oxygen mask and said the oath. On my honor…after he finished he managed a smile and became an Eagle Scout.
The next day Simon passed. His tribute will be tomorro at Founders Park at 4pm. If you would like to donate to the memorial make checks payable to the Memorial Fund and mail to PO Box 470125, Celebration Florida 34747.
A great story written by Darryl Owens about Simon is in the Orlando Sentinel. To learn more about the Boy Scouts in Celebration contact Joel Koustach Scoutmaster at 407-566-8220. They meet 5 PM Sunday at Lakeside Park.
Cub Scouts Cubmaster is Tom Fitzmartin can be reached at 321-929-0193. The Cub Scouts meet on the last Monday of every month at 6:30 PM.
