Spring has sprung in Orlando and with it has come the Kowtown Festival and BBQ cookoff! This is the 2nd year for the BBQ cookoff and you will not want to miss sampling a little something from all four meat categories. Have you always wanted to write but didn’t know where to start? Here is your chance to get started on that writing project that you have been putting off at the Burrow Press Writes workshop on Crafting Short Stories in Orlando. The workshop will include a lesson on how to craft a short story and is geared to writers of all abilities, coffee, snacks, a journal and a Burrow Press book. The workshop will be facilitated by David James Poissant he is an author and professor at University of Central Florida.
Through this workshop you will learn how to structure your story, how to give your characters voice, and how to come to a conclusion. You will need to email the first page of a story in progress two days prior to the workshop.
