After all the excitement of Halloween and before Thanksgiving enjoy some fun in Orlando celebrating Guy Fawkes Day! This is a British holiday celebrating the failed attempt by Guy Fawkes and a group of Conspirators to assassinate King James I and blow up the House of Parliament. So for the last 400 years Bonfires have burned across the United Kingdom on November 5th to mark the failed Gunpowder Plot. Now they are bringing this tradition to Kissimmee for family fun evening.
The fun begins on November 5th at 7pm at the Champions World Resort, and will include a HUGE bonfire, British food and drinks, carnival games, and a magic show. And for the little ones there will be face painting, and bounce houses. To end the evening there will be a fabulous fireworks display.

It’s October in Orlando and Halloween is approaching fast. Take some time to have a spooky time at some of the scarier Halloween attractions. The first one that will have you shaking in our boots is the miss Halloween Horror Nights® at Universal Orlando. This year is the theme is No Body Beats the House, so take your chances and see if you can beat the odds and not get frightened. This event is a great way to get frightened this Halloween. This year they will have 8 new houses where you will enter into the horrors. These haunted houses and scarezones are not child’s play so be prepared to be scared. This is one Orlando Halloween event you don’t want to miss.
Next up be prepared to be scared by the decorations of Dr. Daniel LaVene in the Trail of Nighmares, this year the trail has moved to a new location so don’t miss out. If you get to scared while you are going trough the trail there will be chicken exits that on of the attendants will help you find. If you have younger children in your group don’t worry because there will be a kids activities also outside of the Trail of Nightmares. This is one of the scariest Halloween walks in the Orlando area so don’t miss this one.
Even the Orlando adventure companies are getting into the Halloween spirit, including Forever Florida. This year’s theme is Blues, Blood and Fangs on the Bayou. Be prepared to be scared on the Screamline Haunted Zipline, where you will be zipping 68’ above the forest floor like a vampire bat. Take a walk in search of the undead on the Woods walk. For the littler ones they will offer hay rides and a not so scary kids zone, don’t forget to dress up your little ghost and goblins for the costume contest. There are many different adventures offered at Forever Florida so everyone will have a howling good time.
