In its first ever ranking of Best Places to Launch a Career, The Walt Disney Company has come out as Number 1. To determine the ranking, BusinessWeek surveyed directors of undergraduate career services who completed questionnaires about pay, training programs, staff retention, and benefits.
This generation of college graduates are being referred to as "Millennials". The Walt Disney Company operates not only theme parks and resorts – some of them right here in Orlando – but owns ABC television as well as 10 other broadcast companies and more than 60 radio stations and produces film through Walt Disney Studios.
Millennials liked the benefits at and collaborative culture of Disney and name recognition was important, too. Teri Isner head of the Orlando Avenue Real Estate Team has a nephew currently involved with a 6 month training course at Disney. They provide housing and work training with course work about the Disney operation. His roomate is from China and he is learning alot about Disney as well as meeting many new friends.
