There are also artifacts of Seminole weapons, clothing, pioneer tools and other household items. The homes show home the people of this era lived on a daily basis. You will be interested to know that the fort was named because the soldiers arrived on December 25, 1837 to begin building the fort. The fort was built during the Second Seminole Indian War. You can even take home replicas of pioneer life which are available in the gift shop.

Come visit Fantasy of Flight, which is home to more than 40 rare and vintage aircraft. But wait this Orlando exhibit is much more than just seeing vintage aircraft. Many of the planes have been restored to flyable condition, which you will be able to see at the Aerial Demonstrations. You will even be able to see where the restorations take place on the Real Restoration Tours. These restorations are done with extensive research and care. As you continue to explore the exhibits you will be awed by the B-17 walk-through, where you will be able to see what it was like on a World War II bombing mission. Learn about the courage of the Tuskegee Airman in this multi-media exhibit called They Dared To Fly. And also learn about the Women Airforce Service Pilots who left their families during World War II to serve as the first American women flyers for the U.S. military. The City of Winter Park will present its annual Olde Fashioned 4th of July Celebration at Central Park. This celebration has it all live music, horse-drawn wagon rides, the Orlando cloggers, and the Rockin’ Roadster Road Show. Be sure to bring your blanket or beach chair and a picnic lunch for this fun event on July 3rd from 9 am to 1pm. You can head out to Orlando to the 1st annual 4th of July bash at Baldwin Park, where there will be vendors staged along the street on July 3rd from 5 pm – 9:30pm. On July 4th head out to Lake Eola in downtown Orlando for an afternoon of food, fun and music. The fun starts at 4pm and the fireworks begin at 9:15 pm.
Check out the fireworks displays around Orlando this July 4th. The theme parks will be lighting up the sky with fireworks shows at three of the Disney parks, Sea World and Universal Studios. The fireworks start at Magic Kingdom at 9pm followed by the “Main Street Electrical Parade” of lights, music and magic at 10 p.m. Disney’s Hollywood Studio’s start theirs at 9:50 pm to a rock n roll soundtrack. Epcot’s normal fireworks will be supplemented with a patriotic finale which starts at 10 pm. At Sea World you can enjoy the 13th Army Band perform at Bayside Stadium before the fireworks, the performance starts at 9:45 pm. If you want something a little different, this year head out to Universal Studios where they will be putting on a show which includes projection technology with lasers along with pyrotechnics.
