With so many rental opportunities ~ What things make people want to rent your home?

Rental homes are a popular option here in the Orlando Florida area. People want to have their privacy with their own pool and not have to worry about being in a hotel and dealing with others. So what things do people want in their vacation home?
- Location! Location! Location! Did we mention location?
- They want Television sets. They want them not only in the living/family rooms, but every bedroom. DVD players too! And while we are on the subject — Videos to view! If you don’t have videos in the unit, directions of where they can find a place to rent them!
- Games and things to do when the weather is not cooperating with them. Board games, cards, puzzles are great things to have in a rental property. Even better and more desirable, Video Games! Bonus items — pool table, ping pong table, and the like make for very popular rental properties.
- Bikes to ride. If you don’t want to have them, a place that they can rent them and have them dropped off and picked up.
- Pool ~ You have to have a pool! Hot Tub is an additional bonus item that renters want. Homes with these feature rent more frequently than those without.
- Fully equipped kitchen, and a grill to cook outdoors!
- Items for a baby so you don’t have to bring them — crib, highchair, baby gates, playpen, car seat and stroller are some popular items that are nice touch. Toys that are appropriate for a small child are a great touch.
Now that we talked about things that make a property appealing, what makes people rebook with the same owners again?
- Great customer service – owners that do a personal touch, flowers or a bottle of wine upon arrival is a nice touch.
- Comfortable bedding! There is nothing worse than sleeping on a terrible bed in sheets that are thread bare and not enough blankets! Lots of towels! Don’t forget beach towels!
- Clean home with little wear and tear
- Great location — yes it is that important!!!!!!!!
- Additional Services — renting a waterfront property? Ability to rent a boat or jet ski’s for your stay. Groceries delivered to the home before your arrival, requested videos at home when you arrive.

What does all verbage mean or how could it affect our privacy when we accept those software license agreements and download online programs. The privacy statement can be pages long and like me I am sure many of us never read through them. So what can we do?
Here is the second tip from the Orlando Top Team in Orlando Florida about a program that will analyze the wording at a record pace, and point out the pitfalls or possible dangers for you. Once the program is installed you open the licensing agreement cut and paste into a text box and click analyze. Just like that the summary appears pointing out possible dangers. This software and more about it can be read on our website. Check it out it will save you lots of time, and protect your privacy.
Once again this is FREE if you are using it for personal use only.

With school out and perhaps some extra reading time, why not learn a little more about the schools that you children are attending next school year
With school out and perhaps some extra reading time, why not learn a little more about the schools that you children are attending next school year
Currently the district of Orange County Public Schools serve more than 181,000 students in 70 schools. In the past year, Orange County schools have seen students that come from 169 countries and speak 133 different languages. Magnet programs have been put in place in 13 of the district’s 17 high schools, including the prestigious International Baccalaureate program in 3 of the high schools.
Located in one of the top tourist destinations, the district enjoys the benefits of maintaining business partnerships with Disney, Sea World & others. The PTA (parent teacher association) – http://www.occpta.org/ and SAC (student advisory committee) are just some of the local groups that are involved in making these schools a better place for our teachers and students.
Each February and March our students take the FCAT ( florida comprehensive assessment test) based on Sunshine State Standards. This test outlines what the students are expected to know according to their grade level and what they can do. You can take a look at recent test results or learn more. Just go to http://www.ocps.k12.fl.us/pageView.rhtml?pageID=18
Orange County Public Schools has so much to offer our children. Why not get your child involved in volleyball, soccer, math counts, student council, or even becoming a peer mediator. Its up to you!
