The City of Orlando is home to the Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake.  This scenic park offer many different recreational activities for your family to enjoy.  Some of the activities you can enjoy while at the park include, fishing from the fishing pier, taking a walk on the nature trail, or watching the kids as they play on the playground.  You can rent a fully rigged Bass Tracker for some real fishing on Turkey Lake.  Or spend the day playing Disc golf with your buddies.  This park really does have something for everyone.

The park also boasts 36 site RV campground that attracts tourist and locals alike.  This is one Orlando attractions you will not want to miss.

The festival will also have food vendors.  Spend some time next weekend enjoying the natural beauty of the Orlando area at Wekiwa Springs State Park.

Spend a beautiful fall day in Orlando picking your own oranges, grapefruits, tangerines, lemons and limes at Showcase of Citrus.  Starting in Mid-October the fruit becomes ready to pick and you will be able to select the best fruit for your family.  Nothing tastes better than fresh picked citrus.  This family fun activity will build memories that last a life time. 

After you have had a chance to enjoyed walking around the groves picking fruit, hop aboard the monster truck for an Eco-Tour.   The tour will take you through the groves, upland Palmetto, Oak and Pine Scrub habitat, and over to the head waters of the Everglades.  This is one tour you will not want to miss and don’t forget your camera.  Soon you will be able to pick your own citrus right here in Orlando, so don’t miss out this fall on the freshest fruit around.

365 Orlando 148. Spend the Day with Florida Cowboys

Bring the family down to Silver Spurs Arena for the Cowboy Heritage Festival going on this Saturday from 10am to 5pm.  Orlando is home to some great cowboys that want to show off their hard earned skills.  Enjoy a Ranch Horse Competition from 10am-2pm, where local cowboys compete against one another.  The festival will also highlight the life of the cowboys through out history.  The kids will enjoy the stampede races, bronco riding and whip popping events.  There will also be arts and crafts exhibits. 

This is a great festival going on in Orlando this weekend and it’s free to the public.

365 Orlando 147. Experience “Beatlemania Now”

Celebrate the musical sensation, know as the Beatles, in downtown Orlando this weekend presented in a multimedia musical stage show.  This wonderful show will be held at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center on Saturday October 2nd at 8pm.  This show captures the essence of the 60’s and the people who lived through this changing time in history.  The cast will keep you moving in your seat through 7 different scenes performed live on stage.  Bring you inter flower child to downtown Orlando for this amazing show and tribute to the Beatles.

365 Orlando 146. Take a Leap with SkyVentures

Orlando is home to one of the premier indoor skydiving facilities in the US.  You can skydive at SkyVenture Orlando with out having to actually jump out of a plane.  The experience is so realistic that even professional skydivers us the wind tunnel for practice, yet safe enough for children as young as 3 to experience the sensation of free falling.  You will need some instruction before you will be allowed to go in the tunnel.  Your session will start with classroom training with an experienced flight instructor.  After you are taught the proper positions for flying you will get to pick your gear and now you are ready to take your first jump.

If you want to learn more you can sign up for training programs and camps to learn more advanced skills.  Don’t for get to have your flight recorded on DVD and have your photos taken.  This is a great Orlando experience that you don’t want to miss.

365 Orlando 144. See Wild Orlando at Jungle Adventures

See the rare Florida Panthers near Orlando at Jungle Adventures Nature Park.  The park is home to many local Florida animals that not everyone gets to see on a normal day in Orlando.  Hop on board The Jungle Swamp Queen river Boat for a tour of the Green Gator river, which is home to over two hundred Alligators, different types of birds and even a replica of an old Spanish Fort.  You will have the opportunity to learn more about the Native Americans that lived in the area at the replica of a Native American Indian Village.  The knowledgeable staff at Jungle Adventures will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the wildlife of Florida and the native people. 

Don’t forget to stop at the Jungle Oasis Amphitheater for an exciting show about the tropical birds of the area, exotic reptiles and many different furry mammals.  Explore the nature behind Orlando at this exciting nature park.
